ABU DHABI, 9th March, 2018 (WAM) — The “Morocco in Abu Dhabi” event witnessed an unprecedented turnout by a high-level presence of senior officials and dignitaries from the UAE and the Kingdom of Morocco.
The event is welcomed by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, runs under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco, supported by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and is followed up by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs .
There is no doubt that its significant geographical Mediterranean location, along with its uniquely diverse culture, made Morocco’s local gastronomy one of the most distinctive and famous international cuisines.
It has promoted the popularity of Morocco among gourmet travelers, and culinary tourism fans around the world.
A highlight of “Morocco in Abu Dhabi”, the “Moroccan Cuisine” pavilion has gained popularity this year and over the past two editions. Thousands of visitors from the UAE, Arab and foreign communities were keen to visit this special pavilion every day of the event to get to know the art of Moroccan cuisine, and taste delicious Moroccan dishes like Couscous, Pastela, Tajine, Tanjia, Kaab Al Ghazal and Chebakia.
This year, Moroccan cuisine introduces visitors to the arts and secrets of its traditional and modern cuisine; and a group of the finest Moroccan chefs, such as famous cooking experts Chef Choumicha and Chef Zakia, present daily cooking shows for visitors and prepare a special set of savory Moroccan dishes and authentic desserts.
“Morocco in Abu Dhabi” is open to public until 19th March 2018 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, epitomising a brotherly heritage environment, enriching visitors’ memories and imagination with its diverse cultural, artistic and historical activities and antiquity collections.
