Drivers in the UAE will pay less at the pumps in November as the Ministry of Energy announced a third consecutive monthly fall in petrol prices.
The petrol prices per litre are Super 98 at Dh1.81, Special 95 at Dh1.70, E Plus-91 at Dh1.63 and diesel at Dh1.87.
This marks a month-on-month fall of 4.74 per cent for Super 98, 5.03 per cent for Special 95, 5.23 for E Plus and 1.06 for diesel. The cost of diesel rose in October.
The liberalisation of fuel prices was introduced at the beginning of August. Since then they have been set by a Ministry of Energy-led committee using “benchmark prices”, which they have not yet disclosed to the public.
Prices initially spiked 24 per cent for the cost of 95 octane unleaded petrol in August before they were cut again in September and October.
