UAE, France in space agreement

Mohammad Bin Rashid attends signing of Declaration of Principles between UAE Space Agency, French Centre for Space Studies

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Edouard Philippe, Prime Minister of France, Sunday attended the signing of a joint declaration between the UAE Space Agency and France’s Centre national d’etudes spatiales — the National Centre for Space Studies — CNES.

The signing ceremony was also attended by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

The Declaration of Principles was signed by Dr. Ahmad Bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Cabinet Member, Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills, and Chairman of the UAE Space Agency, and Jean-Yves Le Gall, CNES President.

Shaikh Mohammad and Prime Minister Philippe lauded the signing, adding that it is a first step towards paving future cooperation in the space sciences.
