WELLINGTON, 2nd May, 2018 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has met with New Zealand Defence Minister Ron Mark.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral defence ties and military affairs between the two friendly nations, as well as means of enhancing them.
Sheikh Abdullah and Minister Mark also reviewed the latest regional and global developments and exchanged views on issues of mutual concern, particularly those related to Yemen, Syria and Iraq.
The UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation highlighted the UAE’s emphasis on advancing cooperation with New Zealand across various sectors.
Ron Mark welcomed Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, noting the close relations between the two nations, and the continued ardour to strengthen said ties for the benefit of the two countries and their peoples.
Saleh Ahmed Alzreem Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to New Zealand, also attended the meeting.
