UAE Embassy in Jordan implements iftar project

AMMAN, 24th May, 2018 (WAM) — The UAE Embassy in Amman is implementing the iftar project in Jordan, which is funded by the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, during the Holy Month of Ramadan and as part of the ‘Year of Zayed 2018’.

The project comes within the framework of charitable and humanitarian projects carried out by the UAE institutions in Jordan and in line with the brotherly relations and social solidarity between the two peoples.


Hundreds of meals were distributed to the fasting people in Amer Abu Obeida Ibn Jarrah mosque at a group iftar. In attendance were Mubarak Al Ketbi, representative of the UAE Embassy and Dr. Abed Smeirat, Zakat Fund Director-General, who was representing the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places.

Dr. Smeirat thanked the UAE Embassy for its cooperation with the official and concerned institutions and its effective efforts in supervising the implementation of many charitable, humanitarian, developmental programmes to underprivileged people.
