Showroom Manager – Kuwait


General


  • Following company strategy and vision
  • Being aware of all in-store promotions, such as cashback, daily offer, credit facilities, activities etc.
  • Keeping all company  information, including sales figures, strictly confidential
  • Ensuring sales staff follow all company rules and regulations
  • Following all company safety and security procedures
  • Representing the company in the best way possible at all times, whether on or off duty
  • Managing all the store management and ensuring their departments are run correctly
  • Driving an ethical and caring work concept
  • Having a sound knowledge of all store functions in order to be able to check them properly
  • Initiating, suggesting and operating strictly within budgets and reporting back to Head Office as required
  • Spending as much time on the shop floor as possible so as to be available to staff and customers alike
  • Ensuring compliance of employees with established location security, sales, cleanliness and record keeping procedures and systems
  • Monitoring and evaluating staff performance and training needs
  • Training & coaching staff on store policies, department procedures, and job duties
  • Making daily store checklist & store tours in all section including the back store

Merchandise & Display 

  • Ensuring that all display products are in good condition and ready for demonstration
  • Ensuring that all display products are priced and well-highlighted
  • Ensuring that no empty place on display
  • Recommending additions to or deletions of merchandise to be sold in the store
  • Ordering merchandise and supplies, or prepares requisitions to replenish merchandise
  • Reporting all non-sellable and old stocks to the product manager to take action
  • Marinating all products complete with its original accessories and packing

Duty Management 

  • Planning and preparing, individual sales target, work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties. 
  • Scheduling break periods, work hours, and vacations for all staff
  • Sending the work schedule to retail management on weekly basis or as required-       Marinating records for staff pending day-off

Customer Service

  • Being constantly aware of customers and their needs
  • Ensuring that all customers, irrespective of nationality , age are treated equally
  • Acting as a main assistance in customer relations
  • Daily and weekly checking of all customer delivery reports
  • Daily and weekly checking of all exchanges and refunds
  • Assisting with special customer deliveries when necessary
  • Monitoring the customer feedback system from follow up calls and customer comment reports
  • Ensuring that every customer comment is answered promptly when necessary

Sales 

  • Working according to Sales Plan.
  • Being the key driving force in ensuring optimum sales are achieved
  • Managing and leading staff in achieving their targets
  • Having an excellent and up to date knowledge of all products
  • Working with stock control to ensure optimum movement of stock including fast and slow movers
  • Communicating with Head Office about new products, display methods and general stock issues
  • Summarizing and forwarding the daily feedback from sales to Head Office

Administration  

  • Working according to Admin Manuals
  • Checking daily sales and cash figures from the cash desks
  • Monitoring and checking the petty cash 
  • Ensuring that daily collection is deposited to the bank or collector.       
  • Reporting any discrepancy (Short or Excess) in sales collection on daily basis
  • Checking rejected credit transactions and follow with credit management 
  • Checking & ensuring that all STOs are cleared and no pending transactions in the system on daily basis
  • Ensuring the validity of showroom licenses (i.e. sign board, promotion, bundle & etc.) and report any expired one to the head office immediately

Safety & Security

  • Working according to Safety & Security Manuals
  • Heading and being fully responsible for the store security and safety systems
  • Driving, implementing and following company security and safety policies alongside the Admin Manager

Personnel

  • Working according to Personnel Manuals
  • Along with Sr. Showrooms Manager /retail Manager, ensuring that the best staff possible are hired and trained for the company
  • Authorizing the payroll and budgeted overtime
  • Checking holiday schedules and pending day- off
  • Signing of staff references and vacation
  • Working with admin to monitor sick leave
  • Assisting with annual and probationary appraisals
  • Pre-approving any and all disciplinary procedures

Management 

  • Ensuring that correct staff disciplinary procedures are followed
  • Ensuring that all staff have received the correct documented training and their job descriptions
  • Carrying out competition checks and reporting back to the management team
  • Implementing correct management scheduling to ensure optimum customer service levels, including holidays
  • Strictly adhering to operating budgets
  • Reporting to the Showrooms Manager on showroom operations, performance and resource

Meetings

  • Arranging and attending the daily staff gathering in both morning & afternoon shift
  • Holding meeting with staff to discuss performance, new promotion, communicate any requirement
  • Attending meeting & training at the head office when needed
