SHARJAH, 8th April, 2019 (WAM) — Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler’s Office, on Monday, inaugurated the “Rakaez” Forum, organised by the Sharjah Education Council, at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, JRCC.
Upon his arrival, Sheikh Salem briefed the participants about the exhibition held on the sidelines of the forum and listened to a detailed explanation during his tour about their efforts in the framework of the initiative of “Rakaez” which seeks to consolidate the original values and positive in the hearts of children and youth.
The opening ceremony began with the national anthem of the UAE followed by verses from the Holy Quran. Following that, the audience watched a short film about the values of tolerance and co-existence that flourish among cultural achievements in the Emirate of Sharjah, the event was followed by an operetta entitled “Sharjah the land of Tolerance” presented by a group of students from Sharjah schools, which spoke about the cultural and educational renaissance and tolerance enjoyed by people of different nationalities and cultures in the emirate.
Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council, in a speech, referred to the initiative of the forum and its importance, considering that values and ethics are the cornerstones of building a society, where there is no value to education without authentic values instilled in young people and become permanent behaviour.
Dr. Al Kaabi also pointed an educational initiative was launched in 2015 according to a strategic plan for the promotion of moral education by enhancing the positive values of our children.
The “Rakaez” Forum aims to open cooperation between the Sharjah Education Council and various institutions, organisations and individuals to sit together and think together to arrange long-term programmes and activities to protect the emerging youth from the dangers and customs alien to the community.
At the end of the opening ceremony, Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi honoured the forum’s partners and speakers.
