Mohammad issues decision amending rules for Zayed Housing Programme

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, issued a ministerial decision No. 47 of 2017 amending some provisions of ministerial decision No. 9 of 2011 on the Zayed Housing Programme.

Among amendments is exempting the applicant from the condition of the monthly salary if the applicant’s income is generated from social assistance or if the age of the applicant is over 65 years.

Also exempted is the Emirati applicant whose per capita share of each member of his family is Dh3,000. A period of 15 years shall be between the first housing grant and the second one. Housing grant applicants will not be given the second grant unless 15 years have lapsed since the first grant was given.

Orphaned women, aged under 30 years, who are not married, widowed or divorced are entitled to housing grants.
