Placement Officer- Arabic/English – City University College of Ajman – United Arab Emirates
Coordinate undergraduate and postgraduate student placements.
Provide information and referral assistance to students.
Provide interpretation, advice and decisions on rules and entitlements, to students, academic staff.
Manage the timely production and dissemination of placement information and documentation to academic staff and students, including the maintenance of relevant placement websites and databases.
Maintain employment database.
Actively follow up students to monitor and measure satisfaction with the service and initiate improvements to our services.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, University policies and procedures.
Ensure fair, ethical and professional work practices in accordance with the College Code of Conduct.
Customizing student/employer matches by instituting competency modeling.
Interviewing students to assist them with choosing the most suitable placement or experiential learning experience.
Supporting faculty with student placements.
Supporting faculty who are implementing an experiential or service learning assignment in their courses.
Supporting businesses and community agencies that provide service learning experiences for our students.
Designing and implementing student work-readiness programs including resume writing, interview preparation workshops, etc.
Writing reports and assisting with other parts of the internship and experiential program as required.
Respond to all inquiries (telephone, email, in person, via the website) providing advice to students, parents and feeder schools.
Respond to the questions of students or other visitors.
Plan employment activities for alumni.
Other related duties as assigned.
