ABU DHABI, 8th April, 2018 (WAM) — The National Archives, NA, in co-operation with the Ministry of Education, is continuing the second stage of its national education initiative, entitled, “Zayed: 100 Stories,” which is part of the “National 100 Initiative” that it launched to celebrate the Year of Zayed.

The initiative is also part of the fifth edition of the “Students Historians Club” project, which seeks to introduce students to stories about the founding leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The second stage of the initiative involves receiving applications until 11th April from students seeking to submit stories, followed by their evaluation, which will end on 19th April.

Students between 8th to 12th grade from UAE schools can write stories to highlight their knowledge about Sheikh Zayed.

The Ministry of Education is accepting applications from public and private school students from around the country, while the Department of Education is accepting applications from Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra.

Following the application and assessment stages, the top 100 stories about Sheikh Zayed will be selected and edited, to make them suitable to be read at workshops to be held next year, with the aim of promoting loyalty to the country and its leaderships, as well as building the personalities of students and strengthening their values and ethics.
