Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday (Tuesday) received Irish Parliament Speaker Sean O’Fearghail.
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, was present.
Shaikh Mohammad wished O’Farrell a successful visit that would achieve its aim of bolstering the historic relations between the two nations, particularly in the areas of culture, investment, tourism and parliamentary work.
Shaikh Mohammad was then briefed on the visit of the delegation of the Irish House of Representatives, and the talks held by O’Fearghailthat led to the formation of the parliamentary friendship committee. The committee will work on coordinating stances and cooperation on international issues of mutual concern, especially those concerning the combating of terrorism and extremism, and strengthening values of global peace and coexistence.
The meeting was attended by Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Dr Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council, and other officials.
