Minister of Education attends workshops at ADIBF

ABU DHABI, 29th April, 2018 (WAM) — Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, attended today two workshops at Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, ADIBF 2018, organised at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, ADNEC, from 25th April to 1st May.

In a presentation organised by Al Mubarakah Foundation, Umymah Sawalha, Education Counselor, spoke about self-discipline, positive effect and benefiting from the positive people who are capable of emotions control.

The media personalities Sulieman Al Hatlan and Khadija Al Marzouqi, Editor-in-Chief at Dubai Post, shed light on the role of media in boosting national identity, with focus on crises times. The lecture took place at the pavilion of Khalifa Award for Education, KAE.

Al Marzouqi said that verifying information and data we receive through the social media channels is, “a challenging issue that needs to be addressed”. She also highlighted the importance of media in increasing the public national belonging and critical thinking towards news passed through the social media in particular and all media outlets in general. “We should not take news for granted unless we receive them from the official sources,” she concluded.
