Look: Dubai lights up with Thank You's

Dubai: The accession day of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has been dedicated to Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince.

And on cue, the city of Dubai lit up on Wednesday night to thank His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for his humanitarian efforts.

Some of the most recognisable structures in Dubai, which were used to praise Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed, included Burj Khalifa, the Burj Al Arab, and even a fleet of police cars were covered with the hashtag.

Signboards across the city’s busy highways were also included in the Thank You campaign.

Over the past years, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid has dedicated his Accession Day anniversary, which falls on January 4, to thank the community.

This year, he launched a campaign to thank Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed.

On his twitter account, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid, said: “We urge our Emirati people to thank Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed who devoted his life to raising the stature of the nation and ensuring the happiness of citizens,” which was accompanied with the hashtag #Thank You Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed.
