Local Buyer – UNIKAI FOODS P.J.S.C – United Arab Emirates

  1. Finding the right suppliers for goods and services required by the organization
  2. Negotiate directly with vendors to get the best possible pricing and payment options

  3. Day to day order management and order deliveries ensuring all the relevant and required documents for the goods are available
  4. Assist in the receipt of purchased materials and services, and keep detailed records of purchases and stocks
  5. Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production
  6. To Coordinate between operation department for compiling of procurement requirement for materials/services and obtain prices from the market.
  7. Work with Inventory Management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing items
  8. Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones
  9. Initiate and take complete ownership of ensuring maximum savings for Unikai in the process of Procurement
  10. To carry out any additional department related responsibilities/tasks assigned by the Management
  11. Knowledge of electrical and engineering spare parts and general maintenance related items including oil and grease
  12. Knowledge of refrigeration spares and air-fitting materials in local market
  13. Knowledge of lab related chemicals
  14. Knowledge of boiler related spare parts requirement
  15. Knowledge of miscellaneous spare parts like bearing, belts, etc.
  16. Knowledge of health and safety related miscellaneous requirement like safety shoes, etc.
