ISNR to explore impact of AI, digital transformation on national security

ABU DHABI, 9th March, 2019 (WAM) — The UAE Ministry of Interior, MoI, has announced that the Ninth International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2020) will run from 17th to 19th March, 2020, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, ADNEC.

At an exclusive reception for the national security and cybersecurity community at Aloft Abu Dhabi, the announcement was made in the presence of Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector-General of the Ministry of Interior and Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of ISNR Abu Dhabi 2020. The reception was attended by officers from MoI, Police GHQs and select officials from major local and international security companies.

Co-organised by the MoI and Reed Exhibitions, ISNR Abu Dhabi 2020 will host over 600 companies and organisations from more than 50 countries. Some 120 experts will headline the thought sessions of the mega security event that is also expected to welcome over 25,000 local and international attendees.

As the definitive gathering for the national and cyber security community in the Middle East region, ISNR 2020 will focus on three main pillars – industry content, business and innovation. Moreover, central themes of the upcoming edition of ISNR include Artificial Intelligence, AI, and the impact of digital transformation on national security, the future of policing and cyber defence.

Speaking on the occasion, Major General Dr. Al Raisi said, “In the run-up to the 2020 edition, the Ministry of Interior is stepping up its engagement with the ISNR, an event that showcases core issues relevant to national and cyber security. The formation of new committees involving the multiple UAE government stakeholders from the national security domain is poised to further impact generated business and relevance to the discussions during the exhibition.”

More than 20 UAE government authorities and key national security agencies, including Abu Dhabi Police, Dubai Police, the Signals Intelligence Agency, the Critical Infrastructure and Coastal Protection Authority, and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management, will exhibit and engage at ISNR Abu Dhabi 2020.
