FNC to hold 11th, 12th sessions

ABU DHABI, 7th March, 2018 (WAM) — The Federal National Congress, FNC, will hold the 11th and 12th session of the ordinary third session of its 16th legislative chapter next Tuesday and Wednesday, at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

During these sessions, the FNC will discuss the policy of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority, FEWA, and a federal draft law on product safety, and will direct seven questions to government representatives of the ministries of Education and Human Resources and Emiratisation.

According to the agenda of the 11th session, the FNC will discuss the policy of FEWA and will direct two questions to Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation. The first question will be on activating Article 14 of the law on organising work relations while the second will be about the increase in the Ministry’s transaction fees.

The FNC will review three messages directed to the government on its recommendations on the rise in federal fees to licence the practising of economic activities, the policy of the Central Bank of the UAE, and the policy of the Ministry of Justice regarding legislation and amendments.

The FNC will also review the policy of the Ministry of Community Development regarding its services for people of determination.

According to the agenda of its 12th session, the FNC will discuss a federal draft law on product safety.

FNC members will ask five questions to Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, on the appointment of foreign teachers in government schools, and a second question about the compulsory transfer of schools principals, a third about school accreditation, a fourth on student grades in various academic stages while the fifth question will be about the lack of a functional hierarchy in the educational sector.
