Abu Dhabi-listed Etisalat Group said on Monday it had appointed Saleh Adbullah Al Abdooli as chief executive as the company continues to restructure.
Mr Al Abdooli replaces Hatem Dowidar, who was appointed interim CEO earlier this month, Etisalat said in a statement.
Mr Dowidar, who will now report to Mr Al Abdooli, had replaced Ahmad Julfar who resigned for personal reasons.
The group earlier this month reported year-on-year growth of 10 per cent in fourth quarter net profits, in spite of falling revenues.
Etisalat said at the time that its priorities this year include defending its leadership position and “value share” in Morocco and the UAE, and an increased focus on cash flow generation.
