Dubai Ruler promotes Civil Defence personnel

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, ordered the promotion of more than 600 administrative staff, officers and personnel at the Directorate of Civil Defence in Dubai.

The order is in line with Shaikh Mohammad’s appreciation for the efforts of the officers and their achievements on the field in protecting lives and properties in the UAE in general, and Dubai in particular.


Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan, Deputy Chief of Police and General Security in Dubai, said that as per the order, two officers have been promoted from the rank of Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel, 10 officers from the rank of Lieutenant to First Lieutenant, in addition to the promotion of 534 officers and 53 field personnel.

He expressed the appreciation of Dubai’s Civil Defence personnel for Shaikh Mohammad’s order, and his humanitarian gesture towards all employees in Emirati entities. He pointed out that Shaikh Mohammad’s order is an incentive to innovate and exert more efforts in serving the nation.
