DHA chief opens 14th Emirates Critical Care Conference

DUBAI, 5th April, 2018 (WAM) — Humaid Al Qutami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), opened on Thursday the 14th Emirates Critical Care Conference (ECCC-Dubai 2018) in Dubai.

The three-day conference will discuss personalised intensive care medicine in the future, tele ICU technology, traumatic brain injury, ventilation strategies in cardiac arrest and pain management in critical cases.

The conference is being organised by the Emirates Intensive Care Society,EICS, and the International Pan Arab Critical Care Medicine Society, IPACCMS, in collaboration with the Sheikh Hamdan Award for Medical Sciences, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, from 5th to 7th April in Dubai.

An emergency medicine and disaster medicine network track will deliberate on emergency disaster management, golden rules of risk communication in disasters, modern terrorism and the lone wolf and leadership, management, command, and control in handling disasters.

A special session will be dedicated to education and training for the next generation of critical care professionals for 2030.

Nearly 2000 critical care specialists from 56 countries are taking part in the conference.
