AMMAN, 4th March, 2019 (WAM) — Mattar Saif Sulaiman Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Jordan, has received a delegation from the Dubai-based Dar Al Ber Society, led by Hassan Saleh Al Ali, Office Manager of the Head of the Charity Projects Sector, who is visiting Jordan to implement an aid project during the winter season.

The aid includes around 3,000 food parcels and 2,000 blankets, which will be distributed, in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation, the Tkiyet Um Ali, and the UAE Embassy in Jordan to underprivileged Jordanian families and Syrian refugees.

During the meeting, which took place at the embassy’s headquarters, Al Ali stressed that the association’s winter aid campaign in Jordan aims to help needy families during the winter season upon the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership and under the framework of the ‘Year of Tolerance’.

Al Shamsi said that Emirati charity authorities, institutions, and associations are monitoring the implementation of winter charity projects, programmes, and initiatives in Jordan, to benefit unprivileged Jordanian families as well as Palestinian and Syrian refugees.

He also highlighted the keenness of the embassy to make these projects succeed.
