Asset Management Officer – Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Responsible for full life cycle Physical Assets Management in Gulf Drug and its subsidies.

Recommend and create policy, processes and standards for asset and inventory management;
Develop life-cycle management programs for infrastructure assets and other Tangible Capital Assets.
 Maintains inventory for the warehouse and other storage locations, updating it accurately and timely for all stockroom items.

Organize receiving function (Receive, inventory, and label company’s assets; Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that all goods meet specifications and corresponds to the order).
Affixing identification tags or labels to the Assets.

Assigning assets into groups, based on a number of common characteristics and by applying various accounting rules.
Keep the related documents in an organized and easy to access manner.

Manage the relation with relevant Government bodies and relevant assets assessment bodies.
 Ensure old assets are disposed, following internal workflows and procedures.

Work with various departments to estimate future costs for replacement, rehabilitation, or general maintenance requirements for all assets using industry standard practices.

Review impacts of continued growth of existing assets with consideration to resources required to maintain service levels as well as identify future service expansion and required resources.

Collaborate with the Financial Analyst to provide technical information for the Long Term Financial Planning, Tangible Capital Assets, and Full Cost Accounting function.

Review, research, and report on technical specifications and standards related to infrastructure construction and maintenance in an effort to improve current programs and systems.

Perform cost/benefit analysis and risk management analysis related to asset management.

Comply with laws, regulations and specific security requirements

Responsible for physical count of the assets and maintaining a proper record.

Assessing the assets condition which involves monitoring assets periodically, and using the data collected from those inspections to determine the condition of each asset. 

Prepare management reports.

Undertakes other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as required, within the scope of the position or as assigned.
