AL-KHOKHA, 14th January, 2018 (WAM) — Hassan Taher, Governor of Al Hudaydah governorate in Yemen, has praised the role of the Arab Coalition Forces led by Saudi Arabia, to liberate Yemen from the Iranian-backed Houthi militias, and the significant contributions of the UAE to restoring a normal life to liberated Yemeni cities.
He also lauded the UAE’s ongoing desire to dispatch relief convoys to the residents of liberated cities, as well as to restore many key facilities that provide Yemeni families with a variety of services, such as electricity, health care and food.
He made the statement during his visit to Al-Khokha city, accompanied by several local officials, resistance leaders and representatives of the Arab Coalition Forces.
Taher visited several schools in the district as part of his tour and witnessed the damage that had occurred. He also listened to the needs of students and teachers and promised to work on restoring schools, as well as the resumption of the students’ education.
He also toured the fishing port in Al-Khokha and met with fishermen. During his conversation with them, he re-affirmed his support for them, as they are one of the major segments of the district’s residents, while promising to provide new boats to those with damaged vessels.
During his tour, Taher stopped at Al Khawkhah Hospital, where he announced his plan to build a new hospital in the district.
He also declared that he has met with relevant engineers, to identify urgent requirements to start pumping water to Al-Khokha and provide it with electricity as soon as possible.
