ABU DHABI, 31st March, 2018 (WAM) — The Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities at Abu Dhabi City Municipality, ADM, in collaboration with its strategic partners, including Musanada, has announced the opening of a street, marking the completion of the first phase of development of the Al Zahiyah Project in Abu Dhabi Island.
Works on the project kicked off in January 2017 and in March 2018 witnessed the opening of the 10th street, which extends 1,660 metres from the Abu Dhabi Commercial Centre to the Mina Street. This phase represents an important step in the completion of the project as a whole, where 10th Street is considered a significant component of the development of Al Zahiyah.
The opening of this phase of the road reflects the keenness of the Abu Dhabi City Municipality and its partners to achieve the aspirations and needs of road users as well as community members. The completion of this phase of the project is the result of the co-operation of all parties and illustrates their commitment to the corporate values aimed at improving the quality of life in the city, enhancing the urbanised outlook of Abu Dhabi city, and delivering an array of infrastructural projects.
