HAVANA, 26th February, 2019 (WAM) — The pavilion of the UAE Embassy attracted, during its participation in the Havana International Book Fair that was held in February, around 34,000 visitors.

The embassy’s pavilion, which is participating in the fair for the third year, included a virtual reality visit to the UAE, and a presentation of Al Ayala art that was performed by Cuban artists who were especially trained for the event, as well as henna painting, Arabic calligraphy, booklets, documentary pictures and movies that reflect the UAE’s customs and traditions. The visitors also took part in competitions prepared by the embassy’s team.

The fair is a leading cultural event, and its current edition hosted 400 participants from 44 countries and was visited by around 400,000 visitors.
