ABU DHABI, 5th December, 2017 (WAM) — Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al Saedi, a police officer at the Abu Dhabi Police Department of Security Information, has been awarded the Prince Khaled Al-Faisal Award for Moderation (Statistical Studies category) for his thesis, ”A strategy on promotion of values of citizenship and moderation through social media.”
Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, presented the award to Dr. Al Saedi during a ceremony held to honour winners in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Al Saedi said his study focusses on two aspects: artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Launched by Prince Khaled Al-Faisal’s Centre for Moderation, the award recognises those promoting moderation and aims to produce real outputs to instil the concept of moderation among youths and to represent moderate thinking. It covers the areas of digital and intellectual content as well as a community partnership.
The award jury received a total of 372 entries.
