Manages and supervises the activities of assigned personnel and perform supervisory duties at the level established by management for the position.
Ensures strict adherence to policy and foster continuous process improve as per international best practice within assigned area of responsibility.
Responsible for the training, coaching and development of UAE Nationals within the framework of emiratisation.
Responsible for the correct and timely processing of staff benefits which include salaries and monthly allowances, housing, furniture and joining allowances, car and house loans, school and university fees, annual tickets and car allowance as per the rules and regulations and the employees’ contracts.
Balances the payroll accounts through reconciliation of payroll ledger accounts and resolving any payroll discrepancies.
Manages payment orders in respect of End Of Service settlement to staff leaving the employment. This involves all calculation to ensure that earnings and deductions are netted. Approves payments for expenses, advances, and/or any special personnel related payments. Ensures all advances are recovered from employees.
Oversee updates made employee records whenever there is a change in the employment status such as promotion, salary review, annual increment, change of job title, contract type and employee data, change of marital status, bank and dependent details.
Reviews and monitor business travel and training payments to staff (daily allowance, tickets and leave) in coordination with the concerned department and General Services.
Approves and tracks all leave types (annual, unpaid, sick, business travel, maternity and haj leave) as well as leave encashments and staff overtime as per the rules and regulations and ADMIN Committee approvals.
Briefs new employees in coordination with the HR Division on their entitlements and benefits as per the rules and regulations.
Makes suggestions as appropriate regarding improving the workflow in the Entitlement and Payroll unit in addition to taking part in recommending, testing and implementing changes made to the Oracle system that affect the team’s responsibilities.
Researches employee benefits and keeps up-to-date with current practices in the UAE and recommend changes or modifications to the existing policies.
Checks the work of the Entitlement and Payroll team to ensure that the records are updated and that the transactions are processed accurately.
Carries out other similar or related duties as assigned.
