Senior Marketing Technology Manager – Kuwait – M.H. Alshaya Co. – Kuwait

Job Role:

The CRM & Digital marketing team is a centralized function within Alshaya supporting the customer and digital strategy definition and execution across all brands to deliver best in class customer engagement and return on investment. To support an efficient execution and performance measurement of marketing activities we are looking for a Senior Manager – Marketing Technology to join the digital team. The Senior Manager will be responsible for devising the marketing technology strategy and building an adequate infrastructure to support the activities of 90+ brands across Alshaya.

The Senior Manager will own the end to end marketing technology stack including core analytics tools and operational tools required to drive business results. The role will furthermore be responsible for the planning, development, execution, tracking and reporting of marketing technology activities. Working closely with key stakeholders the Senior Manager will also lead marketing automation initiatives and set the audience strategies to ensure efficient communication to customers.


With a background in data analytics and with a solid knowledge of digital marketing we envision that the right candidate has hands on experience defining and implementing mar tech strategies as well as strong stakeholder management skills and prior experience working with IT teams. Experience working with large sets of CRM data as well as marketing attribution modelling will be considered a strong plus.

The right candidate will be a self-starter with a strong appetite to improve the status quo by continuously evaluating the market for new technologies and approaches that could be valuable to the business. The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing a smaller team of managers and executives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the marketing technology strategy for Alshaya
  • Review, identify and implement relevant technology partners
  • Define and build an appropriate marketing technology architecture to efficiently support marketing activities for 90+ brands
  • Develop technical design specifications and work with IT on ensuring seamless integration with the overall tech setup
  • Identify development activities, draft mar tech requirements, test plans and documentation
  • Prioritize and manage implementations, ensuring on-time delivery
  • Work closely with media buying, insights and brand marketing teams to monitor, measure and report on marketing performance
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders across the business
  • Manage a small team of digital marketing reporting resources
  • Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of marketing automation technologies and analytics tools such as GA, Doubleclick and Omniture
  • Solid understanding of data modelling practices and techniques
  • Thorough understanding of the technical setup required to efficiently monitor and report on digital campaigns
  • Understanding of key CRM systems
  • Expert skills on delivering results for multiple stakeholders
  • Experience:

  • 7+ years’ experience with implementing marketing technologies
  • Educated to degree level
  • In-depth domain knowledge of the mar tech landscape and previous experience building large-scale infrastructures
  • Solid analytics and reporting experience from operational as well as strategic roles – agency or client side
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills and experience working with large volumes of data
  • Previous experience building audience strategies and ideally experience with working with large CRM data sets
  • Highly organised and process driven with a self-motivated approach to work
  • Collaborative in approach and confident influencing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Ability to translate complex technology requirements to non-tech audiences
