Project Manager – Roots Energy and Engineering Services WLL – Qatar

Develops the project specific plans, outlining timelines, schedule of activities and resource requirements and controls the project as per the project plan
Obtain approvals from client, consultants for all the material approvals, shop drawings and work execution schedules
Prepare all as built drawings, O & M Manuals, Testing & Commissioning manuals
Tests and commissions all the works carried and hand over the project to the client
Ensures zero accidents and all quality records signed off
Reviews and studies in detail & is aware of the scope of works described by the contract document, project specifications, contract drawings & BOQ
Prepares the work execution schedule (proposed) with start/finish date for all the project activities and submits to client for approval
Coordinate with planning & engineering department for all engineering works
Coordinates with the procurement department for order, approval and timely delivery of all materials
Ensures proper selection and training of staff directly reporting to this position
Provides adequate one on one counseling and coaching to all direct reports with a view to guiding them towards delivering on their job mandate






Manage the staff and staff deployment within the project, set and agree targets & objectives in line with the project plan and requirements and monitor performance and provide the necessary support to enable the project team to meet their objectives and perform to their full potential.

Factory Acceptance Tests of systems
Construction Scope & Contracts Management.
Commissioning Support- On site activities
Commissioning Support- Procedures development Instrument layout / installation.
Inspection & Expediting – Engineering participation.
Provides the management periodic status reports of site operation
Obtain approvals from client, consultants for all the material approvals, shop drawings and work execution schedules
To guide team of engineers & lead the project team
Other responsibilities – as per project/department requirement
·         Comply with company’s IMS Policy and other related regulations

·         Assists QHSE Department in implementing IMS and other procedures to ensure all works are doing in a safe way to prevent injury, environmental pollution, and occupational health hazard, and property damage

·         Attends induction, tool box, weekly meeting, in-house and third party trainings

·         Shares in preparing Risk Assessments, JSA and Environmental Aspects and Impacts, Risk and Opportunity and implementing its control measures

·         Provides necessary support and resources to other Departments in order to execute the task in safe and efficient manner

·         Approves site employee’s HSE performance assessment with the HSE Supervisor/Officer for awarding

·         Member of investigation team in-case of incident in the site with other investigation team

·         Use full and proper PPE and safety equipment on site

·         Accountable for his personal safety and that of all personnel under his or her authority, including others who may be affected by the company’s activities.
