MOCHA, 15th February, 2018 (WAM) — The Iranian-backed Houthi militias have bombed a mosque in Hays District in the south of Hodeidah Governorate and have continued to target residential areas and civilians for the second consecutive day, revealing the crimes inflicted by the militias.

The attack, using heavy artillery, destroyed a large mosque in Hays while the militias continued bombing civilian housing and residential areas with mortars and Katyusha rockets.

The militias continue to threaten the residents of the villages of Abadeya, Jalada and Dabbas in the southeast of Al Jarrahi and ordered them to leave, to take their houses and convert them into military barracks. They also planted mines and explosives around these villages, to hinder the progress of the National Army and Yemeni Resistance in advancing towards the centre of Al Jarrahi from the east, as battles are fought close to these villages.

The militias bombed residential areas and local citizens with Katushia rockets, to stop and hinder the progress of the National Army in liberating Al Jarrahi.

This is happening while the UAE Armed Forces, as part of the Arab Coalition Forces supporting the legitimate government of Yemen, led by Saudi Arabia, is continuing to provide combat and logistical support and conducting reconnaissance missions to assist local forces as they progress towards Al Jarrahi.
