Hamdan unveils 5-Star plaques at three RTA customer centres

Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, on Tuesday unveiled five-star plaques at three Customer Happiness Centres in Dubai.

He unveiled the 5-Star plaques at the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) Customer Happiness Centres in Al Barsha, Dubai Airports (Al Majlis) and Emirates Terminal 3. The three centres received five-star ratings under the Star Rating programme in accordance with the Global Star Rating System for Services of the Federal Government.

Shaikh Hamdan hailed the efforts of the customer centres at government entities in Dubai and congratulated those on receiving the five-star rating. He underlined that the Star Rating programme for Customer Happiness Centres reflects the wise directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to achieve a qualitative leap in government services.

“The high rating received by Dubai Government’s Customer Happiness Centres encourages them to further improve their services,” Shaikh Hamdan said. “Applying the Star Rating framework to the Customer Happiness Centres is part of the effort to enhance integration between federal and local governments, which helps us ensure that the UAE maintains a high ranking in the quality and efficiency of government services,” he added.

Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of Dubai Civil Aviation, and chairman and chief executive of Emirates airline and Group, Mattar Al Tayer, chairman of the Board and executive director of RTA, and a number of senior officials, were present.

Shaikh Hamdan said that achieving excellence requires committed efforts, which eventually result in positive feedback from the community. He further said that Dubai Government is keen to ensure that all Customer Happiness Centres enhance their service quality to be able to achieve 5-Star ratings. The rating programme motivates all centres to be more dedicated to enhancing quality and customer happiness.

The Star Rating programme for Dubai Government’s Customer Happiness Centres was launched following a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Emirates Programme for Excellence in Government Services and the Dubai Executive Council’s Secretariat General represented by the Dubai Model Centre. The programme reflects the efforts of the two parties to work together to implement the directives of Shaikh Mohammad.
