ABU DHABI, 24th March, 2018 (WAM) — The Urban Planning and Municipalities Department at Abu Dhabi City Municipality, ADM, has completed and upgraded the A69 intersection in Shakhboot bin Sultan Street, opposite Al Bahr Towers and the Higher Colleges of Technology. This project reflects the Municipality’s drive to modernise road networks and raise its efficiency to meet the needs of sustainable development while measuring up to the vision of Abu Dhabi to develop and improve infrastructure systems.
In a statement, ADM said that carrying out such improvements contributes to the continuous development of the city’s infrastructure. “It reflects the Municipality’s commitment to providing a modern road network and improving the quality of services provided in line with the international traffic safety standards.”
The Abu Dhabi City Municipality commenced works of the intersection project in 2017 at an estimated value of AED3 million. It coordinated with the relevant authorities and strategic partners to ease traffic congestions and ensure smooth traffic flow during the construction phase of the project.
