ABU DHABI, 20th May, 2018 (WAM) — Abu Dhabi Media Company and Zayed University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to accelerate academic and research collaboration and boost knowledge transfer and exchange of expertise.
The agreement, signed by Dr Ali bin Tamim, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Media, and Dr. Riad Al Muhaidib, Director of Zayed University, shall see Abu Dhabi Media establishing a training centre for the company’s employees and mass communication students along with all professionals seeking roles in the media industry across the country.
The memo is aimed at engaging students in the wide spectrum of the media industry by equipping them with the skills and experience needed for them to unleash their leadership potential in this sector in years ahead, said Dr Ali bin Tamim.
He underlined the keenness of Abu Dhabi Media to collaborate with all parties concerned with the media industry on launching such strategic initiatives in line with the government’s plans to empower youth in a way that reflects ultimately positively on the country’s economic and social drive.
For his part Dr Al Muhaidib reaffirmed the importance of developing such partnerships to keep pace with rapid developments taking place in areas of media and communications regionally and globally.
